Maha Shasthi
Maha Shasthi marks the auspicious beginning of the Durga Puja celebrations.
It is traditionally associated with the ceremonial awakening and invocation
of Maa Durga through sacred rituals.
Bodhan and Adhibas
The evening rituals of Shasthi include important ceremonies such as Bodhan
and Adhibas. Through these rituals, devotees formally welcome the Divine
Mother and begin the sacred days of worship.
Shasthi sets the spiritual tone for the days that follow, inviting devotees
to leave behind worldly distractions and turn their hearts towards prayer,
devotion and gratitude.
